30 PAINTINGS IN 30 DAYS -- Day 7

"I'm On to You"              Acrylic
Bloodhounds are not called that because they sniff for blood.  It's actually because they are purebred -- bred only with other bloodhounds to insure that their incredible sense of smell remains undiluted.  They have been working with police forces to help find victims since 1802 when the English police first used them.  They are not used in the US as much as they should be because they only track scents of people whereas German shepherds and other breeds can be trained to sniff for drugs and bombs.  Nevertheless, bloodhounds are such interesting animals to paint, I just couldn't resist.

Each of these paintings is 5 x 7 and most are available for purchase.
