Painting skin tones has always intrigued me and using the medium of pastels offers
challenges in layering colors
you wouldn't expect to find
in the skin to create the 
illusion of a flesh tone --
purples, violets, greens, etc.             Francis
blend with warm reds, yellows
and oranges to create lovely
effects.
